- When I first got my A4000 (approx 2 months after introduction), it did
- not work for more than a half hour without crashing. Getting more and
- more pissed off, I finally decided to dissassemble my machine to the
- core. When taking the motherboard out, I found a cigarette wrapper
- underneath. It was foil side up, directly underneath the memory simms.
- Upon removal, the system worked fine (as I expected it to). Therefore,
- you may try stripping you system down, and taking the motherboard out to
- look for any short circuits, or things that could cause a short when the
- tempature of the machine rises. My machine was a good example of
- Commodore's quality control...
